The “democracy-friendly” and “socially friendly” plans of the government are known. They have been condensed in the most eloquent way by the Vice-President [of the government], Mr. Theodoros Pangalos in his monumental quote “It is the medium-term programme [of the IMF/ECB/EU Memorandum of Understanding] or tanks”. The usual---if no longer the sole---entity who carries out the orders, the police, has thoroughly mastered these plans and are applying them with exemplary zeal. .

Yesterday’s repressive delirium, the chemical warfare until the morning against all the protesters---even when they were dancing--! is testimony to this. Today’s police attacks, on the human blockades in the street, the massive arrests, the beatings and the hundreds of wounded protestors with “empty hands”,  but full of soul (including the president of the Panhellenic Federation of Workers in Local Autonomous Administration Organisations POE-OTA,  a local councillor of Zografou, students, journalists etc. ), the operation to clear the square by any means, certifies it. This government cannot---and does not want---to survive---with Democracy. We do though!

This is why the people, all of us, are not going to give up, despite everything. We are reorganising in even a more determined way, we are flooding the streets, we are going to encircle the parliamentary “majority” of mafiosos and blackmailers. We are pushing back the fascistification of our lives and we are those who are taking out of the hands of the military followers of the government, the police, all those who wish to take life in their own hands. For all of society, for every human who lives and breathes in this land, the medium term programme [of the IMF/ECB/EU Memorandum of Understanding] has been voted against!

This pathetic and down the last drop discredited government, even if they are smuggled away by their army, even if they search for secret exists from the dead-end of being transported by camouflaged, armoured vehicles, has the obligation to---and will be forced to--- face itself: the king is so naked that no police mantle can be used as a fig leaf for their democracy!

Neither the medium term programme, nor tanks!
The struggle for freedom and democracy continues!
We won’t leave until they leave!
Now we and our rights are speaking!
